Market Outlook

Personal health has become a growing concern in the world today. People are paying more attention to what they put in their bodies and where those products originated. There is also a greater focus on exercise and supplemental vitamins to reach and maintain a healthy lifestyle and to promote overall general wellness. More and more studies are showing a nutritious diet coupled with regular exercise and the proper dosage of natural vitamins and supplements can have a significant positive effect to a person's health.

Opportunity

The people at PharmaOmega could see this growing trend and discovered a market for high quality Omega 3 fish oil supplements that cater to the specific health needs of an individual. Armed with only the idea of a product to offer, they needed a complete branding strategy for their new line of this vital natural supplement, one that entailed the realization and execution of a company name, product brand line id, corporate logo, product offering identity and a packaging solution. After a complete interviewing process with many firms, PharmaOmega commissioned TribeAgency to take their product idea and help them turn it into a successful company ideology.

Solutions

After the initial kick off meeting, TribeAgency went to work to create a name that properly described the new product and communicated the "prescription" quality of the Omega 3 fish oils being offered. The Creative Team produced the name PharmaOmega, "Pharma" playing off the high pharmaceutical quality and using "Omega" to communicate the product was an Omega 3 fish oil supplement.

The next step in the branding process was to create logo for the new PharmaOmega product line. TribeAgency knew PharmaOmega would extend their line of Omega 3 fish oil supplements in the future, so the Creative Team needed to design a logo that would fit one supplement offering or multiple offerings as they are introduced to the retail market. The final logo uses multiple pastel colored "+" signs (the symbol associated with medical centers), and the words "body + mind + heart," the main benefits to taking Omega 3 fish oil. Each medical symbol is a different color that can correspond with a new product so the logo caters to an expanding product line.

TribeAgency delved into a packaging solution that addressed the combination of a healthy lifestyle with an often busy and hectic schedule which can sometimes stand in the way of ensuring you are taking your supplements properly. In the first phase of team collaboration it became apparent that the packaging of PharmaOmega needed to break from the traditional jar of pills mold. A packaging solution that could easily travel in a briefcase, purse, or simply a pocket had to be put into place. TribeAgency came up with a thin box that held 6 packs of 15 softgels. The 15 softgels are stored in gum like containers with the foil backs and can easily fit in a shirt pocket, the individual packs hold 5 days worth of PharmaOmega supplements leaving no excuse not to take your Omega 3 Supplements.

Results

PharmaOmega started as a vision of offering high-end pharmaceutical grade Omega 3 fish oil supplements to people who have chosen to lead a healthy lifestyle. With the help of TribeAgency that vision turned into a fully realized company identity with a brand ID system that accommodates an expanding product line all packaged in a ground breaking and industry changing packaging solution.
