Pete Myers, CEO of Baby Planet
What is your role at your company?
I am the company founder and CEO, so I guess I’m the guy that get’s called when all else fails.
What's the first thing you do when you get to the office?
Turn on my computer and make coffee (not necessarily in that order).
What do you feel are the most challenging aspects of your job?
Learning how to juggle multiple issues simultaneously and satisfy many needs when they often conflict with each other.
What do you like best about working with TribeAgency?
The team at TribeAgency is consistently reliable. Whenever I have a need small or large I have great confidence that I’ll get what I need and my expectations will be exceeded. I’ve never walked away thinking "I wish things had gone better" it’s always quite the opposite.
What do you feel are the benefits of working with TribeAgency over other Agencies?
I’ve always been very impressed with TribeAgency’s unique balance of creative flair and technical know how. They will push the envelope into fresh new directions while backing it up with the expertise to put those plans into practical applications. I’ve also always felt their goal is to see us succeed, not to finish a job and cash a check.
Who is someone you have looked to as a role model?
I need to name 2. Steve Jobs founder of Apple and Tom Murdough founder of Little Tykes. Both true entrepreneurs that showed how you can reshape industries with great ideas. Instead of answering a need as most companies do, they created the need by showing consumers what they want before they knew they wanted it.
What is your most frustrating pet peeve?
People who don’t come through on promises they make.
If you could live in any era in the past, when would you live?
I’d want to live in Medieval Times, but only if the cast of Monty Python came a long for the ride. I actually love being in current times and watching how far forward we can push ourselves.
What is your favorite non-work activity?
I have an 11 yr old Son and a 9 yr old daughter. I love spending my spare time with them.
If you could be in any other career, what would it be, and why?
Professional Rodeo Clown. I wonder how hard it is the break out of the amateur circuit...
What famous or historically significant person would you most like to meet?
Leonardo da Vinci. The true Renaissance man that excelled at everything he set out to do. I’d love to discuss his thought process and passion for investigation and discovery.
If you were ruler of the world for a day, what would you do?
Before lunch: Reverse the negative impact of climate change.
After lunch: Institute a new law to extend my term.
